Sourced from the renowned Koroit mining area, this piece is a classic example of opal in an ironstone matrix. It has been sliced to expose its potential, revealing faces ready for exploration and work.
This is a low-grade specimen with opal veins showing hints of color, making it an excellent choice for learning and practicing lapidary skills.
Please note: Boulder opal is a natural combination of ironstone host rock with deposits of opal.
